- Hi fellow Deviants! Some of you may be aware of a few of us coming together to form a studio thingy. Well as our very first project, we've gathered some of our favorite personal pieces and are in the process of printing a very limited edition launch portfolio artbook. Because we really wanted to do these great works justice, we've gone for quality rather than quantity in the face of a limited budget. And how! We're doing 600 dpi printing! Yes you heard it here- 600 dpi!!! That's better than most commercial artbooks and even DA prints! Quantities are really limited though! Enter the Artist Avatar Challenge!
Hey everyone! As some of you may know, I’m an instructor at 3dsense Media School in Singapore. The school has partnered with DeviantArt for an awesome new contest, the Artist Avatar Challenge. Your task is to create an "Art-vatar" — an artistic alter ego that uses unconventional tools for their masterpiece. The reason I’m excited about this is because I’m also on the judging panel for the contest! I’ll be joined by @Artgerm, @ukitakumuki, and @derrickSong. This is an opportunity to win cash, Wacom products, and a portfolio review from me and the other judges! Be sure to enter by February 28th. 3dsense Media School provides training for 3D Animation, Game Art, Film VFX, and Motion Design, and many of my students have gone on to careers in the creative entertainment industry!
